It's funny how little unexpected events can change your life...

In August of 1998, I entered high school.
After completing marching band camp and being
an musician for six years I had expected to be
placed into one of the higher level bands, perhaps
even Wind Ensemble.

Much to my suprise, not to mention discontent,
I was placed into the lowest band, Concert Band.
Strolling, unhappily into the band room that first
day of school, I happened to sit in front of a rather
beautiful girl. Her name, which I had trouble remembering
at first, was Falyn.

After two months of hours of the phone, short
talks in the bus parking lot, and movies, I was able
to grab her for my own, an amazing feet for a social
moron such as myself (the even more astounding thing is
I have been able to hang on to her and keep her content
for 2 1/2 years...).

More to come later...
